VR+NY TV Week: The team behind the NYC Television & Video Week has unveiled a new component to their week long media industry event. The inaugural VR 20/20 will be a one-day conference on 17 October at the TimesCenter highlighting the technologies and trends disrupting the Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality market. Spreading Security: After a successful debut in New York in 2013 and an expansion over the past two years into Washington DC, the organizers of the Cyber Security Summits are entering four new markets this year. In addition to New York and DC, the series, which aims to discuss the current challenges to integrating security measures that will best protect enterprises, is also being held in Atlanta, LA, Chicago and Dallas. Happy Together: Informa recently announced that its OTTtv World Summit and Content Delivery World will be co-located in 2017. According to the announcement, holding the events together “will give additional exposure and networking opportunities to the conference delegates and speakers and broaden the scope for learning, meeting exhibitors and doing business under one roof.” The events will be held in London from 8-10 November.
Speaking Opportunity: Outsourcing World Summit has opened its call for speakers for the 2017 event, taking place from 19 – 22 February in San Antonio, TX. 2017 will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Summit, which will be held under the conference theme of Harnessing the Power of Disruption. The association organizing the event, IAOP, is seeking industry professionals to contribute new ideas, solutions, and innovations for current issues and challenges that confront the outsourcing industry. Speaker submissions must be completed here by 10 July.
Lunchtime Learning: Thousands of digital and tech entrepreneurs, investors and business leaders attended the WEBIT Festival in Bulgaria in April.
