Fortune and Health! Fortune’s has announced that it will be adding to its Brainstorm franchise of events this fall. The inaugural Brainstorm HEALTH conference takes place from 1 – 2 November at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar in San Diego. This by-invitation-only event is being produced in association with IBM Watson Health under the theme of “Seizing the Disruptive Opportunity.” As with other Fortune conferences, Brainstorm HEALTH will include a mix of plenary panels and breakout roundtable discussions. Mobile Event Combo: Previously two separate conferences, Mobile 360 – North America and Mobility LIVE! will merge as one in 2016 in order to “deliver a platform for exploring the key trends impacting the mobile industry as well as adjacent industry sectors.” Also happening on 1 – 2 November, this combination event, called GSMA Mobility Live! – North America, will offer a number of new features including the Demo Stage, which was hugely popular at Mobile World Congress.
Speaking Opportunity: TechMedia is seeking experts “with a digital marketing lesson, case study, hack, or a bit of digital-jedi-wisdom to share” to speak at Digital Summit Philadelphia. The city of brotherly love is a new market for the Digital Summit series. The event takes place from 23-24, August 2016 and speaker proposals are due by 8 July.
Lunchtime Learning: In April, approximately 1,000 thought leaders and innovators attended the Skoll World Forum in Oxford, England in order to “explore fierce compassion as a driver of social progress.” Spend your lunchtime with visionaries such as Al Gore, Elizabeth Cousens and Gary Gottlieb. Perhaps you too will be inspired to create “entrepreneurial solutions to the world’s most pressing problems.” Videos found here.
Coming Up Next: Next week more than 15,000 global advertising, marketing and communications professionals will gather in France for the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. This year’s event includes eight days of “inspiration, celebration, education, and networking.” Meanwhile in Anaheim, the biggest digital stars will unite with their fans, creatives and industry professionals at VidCon, one of the fastest growing gatherings for online video enthusiasts. For the first time this year, the conference has partnered with YouTube for a three-day livestream of sessions.
