Return of Pride & Prejudice: The Economist Pride & Prejudice event will return in 2017. It will again be held across three regions, with events in New York, Hong Kong and London on 23 March. The Economist’s goal is to “advance the global discussion on LGBT diversity and inclusion, particularly by focusing on the economic and business costs of LGBT discrimination and the profitable opportunities that lie in overcoming it.” Each of the event locations will bring together more than 200 business, political and civil society leaders to examine LGBT business issues. Clinton Confab Concludes: The mission of the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) is to “turn ideas into action”. Since 2005 the event has brought together global leaders develop innovative solutions some of the world’s biggest problems. Last week, former president Bill Clinton announced that the CGI annual meeting (19 – 21 September in New York) will be the 12th and final of these gatherings, in order to avoid any potential conflict with wife Hillary Clinton’s presidential aspirations.
