Wharton TechCon becomes Tech Week: Wharton Tech Conference has been transformed into Tech Week, running from 6 – 10 November on Wharton’s Philadelphia campus. This series of live information and recruitment events, will showcase the best of tech while providing networking, social, learning and business opportunities. According to the conference organizers, this new format will “bring together top industry thought leaders and motivated students to delve into industry introspection, innovation talks and success stories across the technology landscape.”
Boot Camp in Boston?: The editors of CRM magazine have announced that they will be hosting a new event co-located with the Gilbane Digital Content Conference in Boston this fall. The Marketing Technology Boot Camp will offer “specific strategies, tips, and tricks and practical advice” that modern marketers can put into practice right away. Registrants to the Gilbane Digital Content Conference, happening from 28 – 29 November, will have access to all Marketing Technology Boot Camp sessions.
Speaking Opportunity: SpeechTek, self-described as “the smart customer interaction event” has opened its call for papers. Taking place from 9 – 11 April in Washington D.C., the conference will cover the new and innovative ways speech technologies are making customers’ lives easier. Speakers and topics may be suggested via the online form until 6 October, but preference is given to early submissions.
Lunchtime Learning: TVOT and TVOT NYC create meeting ground for established TV players to network with the creative and business communities that have emerged on social-video platforms. The conference is also self-described as “one of the leading venues for agencies, brands, broadcasters, content-owners and adtech companies to explore the relationship between audience measurement, big data, and advanced advertising.” Hear the many stakeholders within this ecosystem discuss the changing viewing habits of young fans as well as the new technologies, such as AI, VR and ATSC 3.0 that are impacting TV and video professionals at previous TVOT events.

And the Virtual Reality Developers Conference (VRDC) runs 21-22 September in San Francisco to meet the growing demand for virtual, augmented, and mixed reality thought leadership.
