PRDecoded Relocated: After seven years in New York City, PRWeek has decided to move its annual conference, called PR Decoded, to Chicago. According to the organizers this gives them more flexibility when it comes to securing a venue and date as there are fewer competing events. The move has received a positive reception so far. The conference will take place on 18 October at the 1871 Chicago’s Center for Technology and Entrepreneurship.
HLTH, Yeah! Last month Jonathan Weiner and Anil Aggarwal, founders of the increasingly popular Money20/20 and Shoptalk events, took on healthcare with the newest addition to their conference lineup, HLTH. HLTH’s goal was to break down the silos between provider, payer, employer, pharma, government and startup organizations and educate attendees on the latest advancements in healthcare that have the potential “to improve outcomes, decrease costs, and reimagine our industry”. The event was so successful that the organizers have already committed to returning to Vegas in 2019! The conference will move from the Aria to the MGM Grand and run from 5 – 8 May.

Lunchtime Learning: Bloomberg Live recently wrapped its Business of Equality Summit, which brought together more than 400 business, academic and political leaders as well as nonprofits and activists to discuss “the future of equality, how we get there and what is at stake for the economy and society at-large.” The conference sessions, including speakers such as Virginia politician Danica Roem, actress Asia Kate Dillon and P&G Chief Brand Officer Marc Pritchard, were educational, inspirational and moving.
