Tech for Good: This July to September, London Tech Week (LTW) embarks on a twelve-week, three-part content series, Tech in Action, to provide critical information on how technology is tackling the world’s toughest challenges. They will highlight companies of all sizes and institutions globally, who are using technology as a force for good in critical areas. Across six weeks this summer, they will share remarkable stories from the Tech in Action series. Part of the series will be the LTW Tech for Good UK Roadshow which will shine a light on the unsung heroes and remarkable tech companies, social enterprise initiatives, and innovators in each of the twelve regions of the UK who are using technology as a force for good.
Virtual Government Shows: As the global community strives to emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, the GovWare Focus Series was conceived to serve as the information resource for critical industry insights and trends, as well as the connectivity platform for the community during this period. With the theme “Partnerships for Resilience and Advancement,” the first GovWare Focus (7 -8 October) will be a free-to-attend virtual conference and showcase, focusing on the professional and industry development aspects. On 3 December, the Digital Government Institute’s 14th Government Cloud Computing Conference will highlight the federal government success stories and provide a road map of how those responsible for implementing cloud-based technologies can evaluate the options and choose the best solutions for their agency – all from the comfort of home.
Speaking Opportunity: The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Annual Conference & Expo is the largest gathering of HR professionals in the world. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 event was cancelled. Therefore, the conference organizers are looking forward to gathering again in Chicago for the next conference, scheduled for 20-23 June 2021. They will also offer the option of joining virtually for those who are not yet comfortable traveling. If you are have a topic or case study that addresses the most pressing, current and emerging HR management issues, submit your speaker proposal via the Call for Presentations (CFP) page by 31 August.
