“Stellar” New Event: The creators of the Canadian Cloud Council, Politik, The Cloud Factory and Interzone are at it again with a brand new event. Stellar Regions will take place from 11-13 March 2024 in Banff. They aim to gather 500 live attendees from the government, environment, energy and banking sectors to discuss the role of digital innovation in advancing trust between businesses, government and society. According to the conference organizers, “there will be candid, high-level discussions about machine intelligence, cybersecurity, governmental legislation, privacy, cloud computing, and how the issue of trust needs to be solved in order to create a more equitable, enlightened, and sustainable society.”
Relearn & Rebrand: The Learning Guild recently noted that it has observed an “exponential increase in the integration of systems and processes between learning and HR domains, both in terms of technology and workflows.” In order to ensure that the content of their events recognize this growing integration they recently announced the evolution of their flagship Learning Solutions Conference into “a comprehensive hub for learning and human resources technology” called Learning & HR Tech Solutions Conference and Expo. This new event will incorporate more HR Technology when it returns to the Rosen Centre in Orlando on 23 – 25 April 2024.
Speaking Opportunity: And speaking of speaking at the Learning & HR Tech Solutions Conference and Expo – they have an open CFP with an 18 August deadline. Potential speakers are encouraged to tailor their speaking proposals to address the overarching theme and “provide insights and practical approaches for attendees to enhance organizational performance, talent management, employee experience, development, and overall success.” Unsure how to do that? The conference offers an excellent FAQ for potential speakers.

First up is Black Hat US, celebrating its 26th year of cybersecurity trainings and sessions. Black Hat spans 5-10 August both at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas and online. Also in Vegas, DEFCON kicks off 10 August and defines itself not as an infosec conference but a hacker con, with workshops that enable the hacker mindset. From 7-9 August at MGM Grand in Vegas, Ai4 Summit brings together business leaders and data practitioners to facilitate the responsible adoption of artificial intelligence and machine learning technology. And at the Corporate Events Marketing Association/CEMA Summit (6-8 August; Salt Lake City), conference professionals and event strategists can learn about the industry’s most impactful trends and effective event engagement strategies and creative executions.
