Moved to Miami: Reuters has announced that it will be moving the East Coast edition of its Strategic Marketing Forum to Miami from New York. It will take place from 12 – 13 November and will continue to highlight how top brands are utilizing data-driven creativity and decision-making. Reuters moved the event because Miami is booming and they wanted to differentiate themselves from the many other marketing conferences in New York.
London Tech Week Grows: London Tech Week is coming up in a few months and in case you missed it, the conference team had announced that they are doubling in size this year. After reaching capacity within the first few hours of the event in 2023, they decided to relocate to Olympia in 2024, which is located in Kensington in the west of London. This venue will allow them to increase to 15,000 attendees and add an immersive expo to the conference stages.
Submission Opportunity: Now through 26 April, speakers interested in presenting in front of TechCrunch Disrupt’s 10,000 attendees – who are builders, founders, and entrepreneurs – can apply for one of ten available sessions this fall. TechCrunch’s annual startup summit that runs 28-30 October in San Francisco, Disrupt will employ its “Audience Choice” process to populate five 50-minute breakout sessions that explore how to solve specific challenges facing today’s entrepreneurs and five 30-minute collaborative conversation roundtables. What you need to know: The TechCrunch team will review all the applications and selected finalists to move on to the “Audience Choice” round, where TechCrunch readers and the public can vote for the top sessions they want to see at Disrupt. Submitters will be notified by 3 May if they’ve advanced, and voting will run 13-24 May.
Lunchtime Learning: I had the privilege of attending SXSW last week with several of our clients’ speakers and saw many interesting sessions (obvious bias towards the ones we set up 😊). But even if you were not able to attend, the event offers its mainstage programming online. One of the things that makes this event so fun is the fact that they cover a breadth of topics and allow you to learn about trends or tech that you may have never discovered previously. Watch their YouTube channel to hear some of this year’s speakers including Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and CEO of AMD and Ryan Patel as they discuss the future of AI; Listen to Amy Webb share the Future Today Institute’s 17th edition of its Tech Trends Report; Celebrity Chef José Andrés explains how to put values at the heart of your business; and Block Party CEO Tracy Chou and Block Party’s Head of Product Design Deonne Castaneda share what more we can do to shape a privacy-forward, safer Internet together.
