Much More Momentum: The newest AI trend? Host dual flagship AI events in the US and London in 2024. FT did it, Fortune did it, and now it is Reuters’ turn. They have announced that they will be bringing Momentum AI (scheduled for 16 – 17 July 2024) to London from 2 – 3 October. The new edition of this conference will be tailored to 300+ C-suite leaders who are deeply involved in AI deployment across large-scale enterprises and “showcase practical takeaways from Europe’s top C-suite enterprise technologists, key regulatory bodies, and leading technology companies.”
MIP Says Bonjour to London: The creators of MIPCOM – a flagship global market for the TV industry in Cannes – recently announced the inaugural MIP London set to take place 24-27 February 2025. MIP London will happen the same week as the 2025 London TV Screenings and was conceived because of increased demand for international companies to connect with buyers in London each February. While the goal was not to relocate MIPTV from Cannes, the launch does coincide with the announcement that the forthcoming 61st edition of MIPTV (8-10 April) will be its last. The event organizers explained: “The creation of MIP LONDON is a direct result of clear and evidenced market factors. There is a continued appetite for a global content market in the first half of the year. MIP LONDON will not only alleviate a busy events calendar but will provide an additional entry point for international companies to gather in London at the same time.”
Submission Opportunity: Conversations hosted on stage at MWC Shanghai “set the direction of the mobile and digital industry” across the ever-growing Asian mobile ecosystem, according to organizers of the 2024 event, which will run 26-28 June at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Now through 24 April, those looking to speak at MWC Shanghai can submit a proposal to address how they are pushing the barriers of connectivity. Key areas of interest for the June program include: 5G & beyond, AI economy, and manufacturing DX. Regardless of company size, history or resources, GSMA welcomes especially welcomes ideas that “bring a challenge to light which requires the attention of the mobile ecosystem or are seeking partners to create the next innovation which changes our sector.”
Conference Organizer Q&A: The Institute for AI Transformation was founded to empower decision makers for a future where AI touches every part of an organization’s strategy, across all verticals. We spoke to the institute’s co-founder and COO Bruce Monaco – who has been busy on their next event coming up 14-15 May in SF – about what distinguishes the Leaders in AI Summits from other conferences in this space.
Speaker Strategies: Could you tell us more about the summit series’ purpose and brand?
In an era marked by the ubiquitous term “digital transformation,” we saw an opportunity to distinguish ourselves and assert our position as a platform for genuine leadership in AI. The “Leaders in AI Summit Series” isn’t just a name; it’s our commitment to showcasing those who are genuinely driving AI forward, distinguishing authentic leaders from the crowd and setting a new standard for excellence and innovation in AI leadership.
Speaker Strategies: How do you decide what topics to include on the agenda?
Our agenda is meticulously crafted around eight core themes developed through comprehensive quantitative and qualitative market research. This research is derived from our private Executive Think Tank Dinners, Voice of the Customer sessions, and Beta Test and Live Product Think Tank projects for our clients. These themes are centered around “following the money” of where the Fortune 2,000 are investing over the next 24 months. Each theme not only guides our agenda but also ensures that we cover a comprehensive spectrum of topics that are critical for leaders in AI to understand and act upon. This thematic approach helps us to create a well-rounded and insightful program that addresses the multifaceted aspects of AI transformation.
Speaker Strategies: How do you determine where to host your conferences?
Through analysis and market demand assessment, we have identified four cities that embody the essence of technological advancement and leadership in AI for 2024: Austin, Miami, New York, and San Francisco. Excitingly, for 2025, we are expanding our footprint with up to 8 summits. Seattle and Chicago have already been added to our curated list, known for their vibrant tech ecosystems and strategic relevance to the AI community. We are in the process of selecting the final two cities, with a focus on further enhancing the geographical diversity and reach of our summit series.
