AI Summit at Black Hat: The AI Summit series announced it will co-locate a track at Black Hat USA 2024. Held Tuesday, 6 August as part of an in-person only experience, the AI Summit at Black Hat will focus on practical applications of AI technologies and underscore the importance of AI as an organization’s newest and greatest weapon within the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape. Part of this new collaboration will be The AI Zone, a dedicated space in the Black Hat Business Hall for AI solution providers. The AI Summit series will continue to produce its standalone events in London, New York, and Singapore.
Departing IAH for AUS: After two years of calling Houston home, Women in Tech Texas moves to Austin 17-18 September to “continue our mission of building a community of thriving women in tech in Texas.” The Austin event will follow the same format as the organization’s other Women in Tech events in DC, London, and Amsterdam, offering keynotes and two breakout tracks – one on tech, the other on people leadership – all centered around the 2024 theme “Digital X Human.” Women in Tech Texas will also co-locate alongside Broadgroup’s Datacloud USA, which is owned by the same parent company.
Submission Opportunity: The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has opened its call for proposals for the CHIME 2024 Fall Forum. Held in San Diego, CA from 5-8 November the event is one of the premiere gatherings for CIOs and other senior digital health leaders. And in order to keep the content quality top notch, the organizing committee has several guidelines that must be followed for a session idea to be considered. Most importantly – all speakers must be current, active CHIME members and/or senior-level executives of a CHIME Foundation Firm. CHIME Foundation Firm submissions must include at least one CHIME member in the application and they should align with one of the topical themes. If you are not sure your session would qualify, consult their helpful rubric guidelines before taking action. Speaker submissions are due by 1 May.
Lunchtime Learning: Shoptalk is one of the fastest-growing conference series in the retail space. The 2024 Spring event just concluded, and it didn’t disappoint. Check out the keynote sessions where leaders such as Dani Reiss, Chairman & CEO, Canada Goose explains how he has evolved the brand, Shailesh Jejurikar, Chief Operating Officer, P&G discusses how the largest consumer goods company in the world maintains a culture focused on innovation-driven growth, and Robbie Brenner, President of Mattel Films, and Steve Totzke, President and Chief Commercial Officer of Mattel, share insights on the Barbie movie’s halo effect.
