EmTech Digital Rebrand: MIT Technology Review’s annual spring event, EmTech Digital, transforms next year with a new name – EmTech AI – that will more accurately represent the key technologies affecting (and being affected by) market forces and new research coming out of labs. EmTech AI will take place in the MIT Media Lab on 5-7 May 2025 and marks one of the longest-running AI business events, connecting business and technology leaders, researchers, and policymakers for more than ten years to understand the implications of AI breakthroughs for business, government, and academia.
IWCE Tracks School Safety: Since 1977 IWCE has been the go-to event for the critical communications ecosystem, which helps professionals leverage evolving technologies to create a safer, more efficient and more interconnected world. When the conference and expo return to Las Vegas in March (17 – 21) it will bring together 5000 mission-critical and business-critical professionals from agency, enterprise, and public service. IWCE recently announced that its track lineup for 2025 has expanded in include a new School & Campus Safety track. According to the conference organizers, “with schools and campuses introducing new technologies to improve safety of students and teachers, it is crucial for critical communication community to understand technical requirements as well as their role in such projects.”
Submission Opportunity: The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) World Conference has opened its call for speakers with a deadline of 8 November. Taking place from 8-11 June in Vancouver, IABC World Conference will gather under the 2025 theme: Connect! The conference organizers noted that in our evolving communication landscape attendees want to learn how to best leverage the countless technologies and channels at our disposal to foster connections. IABC offers several tips for speaker proposal success, including incorporate audience engagement opportunities and/or highlight peer-to-peer learning and highlight new tools and techniques that foster business growth.
Lunchtime Learning: Last month, the 11th annual Milken Institute Asia Summit was convened under the theme “Impactful Ideas: Purposeful Action,” to explore new opportunities for well-being, sustainability, and impactful investments. Held at the Four Seasons Singapore, government officials joined leaders in business, finance, health, technology, and philanthropy for expert insights and peer conversations on health, sustainable practices, and competitiveness.
