Keeping the Door Open – for AI: After wrapping up their 2024 conference, the team behind All Things Open announced that they would be hosting the inaugural All Things Open AI Conference in Durham, NC from 17 – 18 March 2025. More information will be available within the next month or so and the CFP just opened this week with a 6 December deadline.
A (Live) Site for Sore Eyes: Unite For Sight supports eye clinics worldwide by investing human and financial resources in their social ventures to eliminate patient barriers to eye care. Their Global Health & Innovation Conference (GHIC) will host its 22nd edition on 26 – 27 April in 2025. And after several years holding the conference virtually they will be bringing back a live gathering! The 2025 GHIC will be hosted on a nature conservancy in North Haven (north of New Haven, CT). According to the conference organizers, “the venue will be Slate Upper School, a new building of sustainably harvested wood that has vast windows overlooking a 40-acre nature conservancy.is an annual event that dives deep into bold ideas, transformative innovation, and responsible global engagement.”
Submission Opportunity: Earlier this year, sustainability media and events group GreenBiz rebranded as the Trellis Group to better reflect the myriad social, political and economic issues that are linked with environmental ones. While the name has changed, Trellis continues to offer its signature conferences, including the springtime Circularity – held 29 April-1 May 2025 in Denver. Now until 22 November, interested speakers can submit a topic, challenge, or solution to address across six content tracks on the Circularity agenda, with design, climate, justice, and collaboration as cross-cutting themes. Above all else, Circularity values session topics that are grounded in real-world examples with tangible takeaways and presented by leadership from diverse backgrounds.
