Music City Gets Healthier: Reuters is making some changes to its Digital Health Summit in 2025. The event, which will run from 12 – 13 May is moving to Nashville, TN from San Diego, CA. The conference organizers noted that they made the move due to the growing number of healthcare ecosystem companies in Tennessee and the fact that Nashville is a bit more centrally located – lowering the travel time and costs for anyone coming from the East Coast or central US. Digital Health 2025 will also include a hackathon for the first time. This is the result of a concerted effort to increase interactivity across all Reuters events in the coming year.
From the Hill to the House: For the past seven years, “Hackers on the Hill” has gathered cybersecurity experts with U.S. policymakers to have candid conversations on timely and relevant topics without commercial agendas. For the first time this year, the group will expand to the UK with “Hackers in the House.” Similar to the way the original group operates, Hackers in the House attendees will participate in briefings “with civil servants who are working directly on developing cyber policy across the UK government that set or influence policy relating to cybersecurity.” The event is aimed at security professionals with operational experience, but policy experience is not required.
Submission Opportunity: The Robotics Summit & Expo is a multifaceted educational forum dedicated to addressing the issues involved with the design, development, manufacture and delivery of commercial robotics and intelligent systems products and services. It is scheduled to return to Boston in 30 April – 1 May next year. The conference has announced that they are currently accepting speaker/topic suggestions for 2025. Those ideas “need to be technical and educational to help attendees overcome hurdles related to developing commercial robots for healthcare, logistics, manufacturing, security, and other markets.” If you have a suggestion, be sure to submit here before the 4 December deadline.
Lunchtime Learning: The Aspen Strategy Group’s mission is to convene decision makers in resolutely non-partisan public and private forums to address key foreign policy challenges facing the United States. They will be hosting their next Aspen Security Forum on 4 December in Washington D.C, which will bring together “decision-makers and thought leaders from Washington, DC and around the world to discuss solutions to the most pressing national security and foreign policy challenges of our time.” Watch timely and informative sessions from their summer event here. These include panels on The China Challenge, Space and National Security; Tackling Transnational Crime and Enhancing Global Security and From Co to EVs: Global Energy Challenges.
Coming Up Next Week: We’ll be on hiatus for the U.S. Thanksgiving holiday, but the week following is a busy period for end of year events. For proof, look no further than the New York Times DealBook Summit (4 December), where Andrew Ross Sorkin interviews an impressive (no, really) lineup of some of the most consequential leaders in business, politics, and culture. At AWS re:Invent – which runs 2-6 December in Las Vegas – AWS executives and customers are expected to share how they are navigating pressing topics like generative AI, cloud operations, data foundation, and storage. Forbes Healthcare Summit is a one-day event on 4 December in NYC designed to examine the latest developments in healthcare innovation and how whole health strategies require looking beyond scientific and technical advancements. The 17th annual ACM SIGGRAPH ASIA Conference & Exhibition (3-6 December) will be held in Tokyo this year to convene technical and creative professionals working in research, science, art, animation, gaming, interactivity, education, and emerging tech. And on 5 December at Moonlight Studios NYC, Axios Communicators hosts an evening program to ask leaders how they are navigating the shifting communications landscape and complex stakeholder needs.
